I don’t know about y’all, but there are a LOT of things that I set my eyes on and watch besides the Lord. I love this verse because it gently reminds me that no matter what I’m facing, I can direct my gaze on the Lord, and because of who He is and how He loves me, I’ll always have good reason to hope when my eyes are fixed on Him.
He may not answer my prayers in the ways I expect, but ultimately, He WILL heal and redeem because He undid death on the cross!! Lord, help me to place my hope in You, not in my circumstances or my own strength or in others, but in You. Help me to shift my gaze from the problems in front of me to You, who holds us together when everything is falling apart.
