“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night.”

What would it look like to proclaim His love every morning? And his faithfulness at night? I’ve been trying to put this into practice this week, and it has brought me so much comfort and joy. When I can settle into and give thanks for His love from the very start of the day, I’m generally a kinder, more patient human... with myself, with my kids, with other drivers on the road, with friends and strangers. When I end the day by recounting how He has been faithful, I fall asleep assured once again that no matter how hard the day might have been, God is with me and He loves me. What a beautiful way to bookend my days. Lord, help me sing of Your love every morning and Your faithfulness every night, and may this “singing”... this remembering... change me from the inside out.
