Have y’all ever been in a season that feels hard and unbearable? Have you ever wondered “How long, Oh Lord?” I have been there too, and I cannot tell you the amount of times I have had to remind my soul that, “My times are in Your hands.” David wrote this Psalm from a desperate and overwhelming place, surrounded by enemies, and in the midst of all of this, he reminds his weary soul that his trust isn’t in his circumstances, his trust is in the Lord. Oh may I remember, especially when the suffering feels long and when the road feels so hard, that my times are in His hands, and that He is a good God who will never leave or forsake me. It always does my soul such good to remember that my hope is not in my circumstances, but in a good and faithful God who will not ever change no matter what the circumstance.
