Fighting Words Friday: Your Steadfast Love

When I thought, ‘My foot slips,’ your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.

- Psalm 94:18 ESV

I have so many stories of how I’ve been held up by the steadfast love of God. Just this week, in the wake of grief, I really dropped the ball on a few things. It was so beautiful to see how people rallied around me and our family to pray, to come around and pick up or catch the balls I dropped. It has felt like the kindness of God.

I love hearing other people’s stories about this as well. It’s deeply encouraging to hear how God is at work, Love moving in the midst of so many people, so many broken hearts. Tell me a story of how you’ve been held up by the steadfast love of God recently. The more I hear , the more my ears and eyes are attentive to see Love moving in valleys, in shadows, in fear, in heartache, in longing, in boredom, in beauty, in families, in schools, in nature…showing up in a myriad of ways to remind our forgetful hearts, that even when our feet slip and we stumble , we are held in the arms of Love.
